Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas....

...cause we're not. We're in Ohio. So why is it so windy?! Could I have chosen a windier day to do my sprints?!

I started off yesterday running with the high school kids for about 3 miles. Part of the run was over an interstate and the wind was so strong it knocked me into a guardrail. I've got quite a few more pounds than some of my high school girls. I wonder how hard the run was for them? After practice my dad met me at the school and the plan was to run 5 X 600 at a 5K pace. That's a 2:38 per 600. Dad started the first 600 with me but he stopped at 500. He said he lost track of how many meters he was on (whatever). After the first one, dad only did 400s. He's not training for anything so I'll let it slide. My 600 splits were as follows: 2:36, 2:37, 2:36, 2:36, 2:35. My cool down was another 2 miles. I must have been really tired during this section because I ran straight into a pole with my elbow. It hurt! Brought tears to my eyes...or maybe that was the wind. Today, the elbow is pretty sore.

I was pretty pathetic yesterday too. I went to the grocery last night and picked up some recently dated Flexall and some Icy Hot patches for my back (yes my back's been hurting again). Of course, I run into the triendiest friend I have at the grocery and my cart is full of arthritis medication and tampons. I felt so stupid. Se la vie!

Hey y'all, I got a new toy yesterday. I will reveal later today (maybe).
