Ryan thinks it is silly (why not get a windstopper hat?), he asks, but I HATE wind in my ears, and a lot of the time I use it, it isn't really cold enough for a hat. Then, if it is cold enough, I can put a hat on top of it, or I can wear a visor with it if I want the sun protection. It wasn't that expensive.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02624297955496298110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131050.post-91554840394265243122012-02-17T17:05:34.034-05:002012-02-17T17:05:34.034-05:00They were expensive but I absolutly adore my Louis...They were expensive but I absolutly adore my Louis Garneau triathlon shoes. I probably would have spent 3x that much on cheaper shoes trying to find the right pair!Betsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06081641803045845315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131050.post-47149035878425104492012-02-16T10:19:29.926-05:002012-02-16T10:19:29.926-05:00Lately, it has been a headband and some thin mitte...Lately, it has been a headband and some thin mittens to keep my fingers and ears from turning blue.

What vest do you wear? I usually wear an led and/or headlamp to run at night, but never a full on vest. Any suggestions on ones that are comfortable and not completely ridiculous looking?Jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07927756501076501540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131050.post-72659464017138169692012-02-16T10:17:17.085-05:002012-02-16T10:17:17.085-05:00I bought a hot pink Orca running jacket off bonkto...I bought a hot pink Orca running jacket off bonktown.com last year sometime, and I swear it is the best $15 I have spent on running gear. it has reflective stripes and a handy back pocket to store shedded gloves, hats, etc. I love that thing.Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03575577872803103610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131050.post-35551396584655385432012-02-16T10:08:56.073-05:002012-02-16T10:08:56.073-05:00I have a lot of running favorites, but I think the...I have a lot of running favorites, but I think the best purchase (and it's kind of a combo) is audiobooks for my iPod. I get tired of music on longer runs, but give me a good book & I don't want the run to stop because I can't wait to find out what will happen next. The only catch is that books really only work for easy or long runs. Not so great for speedwork.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12371600005998958489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9131050.post-76768988853963199382012-02-16T08:59:01.051-05:002012-02-16T08:59:01.051-05:00that's easy......my Garmin! I'm a data-driven individual, so being able to track my progress (or lack thereof!) is really useful!

Besides that, I just got a handheld waterbottle (Amphipod) that I love....really helpful on my long runs.Bill Finehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16861030282732466646noreply@blogger.com
