Thursday Thoughts

Here's the rules....

I ask questions, you supply the answers. First time visitors and fellow lurkers, feel free to play along. You can answer anonymously or use any identification. You don't have to have a Blogger account to post. I have only gone over 10 comments once in almost two years of this blog's existence. Let's do it again today!

1. What did you want to be when you grew up?

2. Now that you are grown up, what do you want to be?

3. What have you learned about yourself in the past year?

4. What kind of candy will you be handing out for Halloween?

5. If you had tickets to any Olympic venue (summer or winter), what would you choose to go watch?

1. I wanted to be an engineer. On a train.

2. I actually like what I do pretty well.

3. I've learned that I can get through a marathon and the training before it without injury.

4. A big bag of (potentially left over from last year) Dum-Dums. They don't go bad, right?

5. I'd go to the summer olympics. I'd like to see the fencing competition and the marathon, since those are currently the two sports I participate in the most.

1. I wanted to be an Architect.

2. I want to be a professional cyclist now. :)

3. Do NOT stop running for a whole summer just to lift weights. My base is in the proverbial toilet.

4. Whatever the good wife picks up at the store.

5. Cycling time trials or the marathon.

1. I literally wanted to be a rocket scientist. I wanted to be a mechanical engineer and work for NASA.

2. Of course, that dream of being a rocket scientist went down the tubes when I couldn't get through thermodynamics. I still have an engineer degree, however.

Someday I'd like to own my own business like a pastry shop or a photography business or something.

3. I have learned that I eat horribly. I started writing down everything I ate beginning in January to lose some weight and I have found my diet consists of tacos and pizza and cheeseburgers and very little vegetables and fruits.

4. Last year's Dum-Dum suckers that never got opened. We have 360 of them so if you live close to us, please come over and trick-or-treat at our house.

5. I would want to go to the summer olympics and I'd either want to see swimming, track and field, or gymnastics.

I liked last week's questions better, so I'll answer those...

1. Have you ever been arrested for anything? If yes, what? (You don't have to reveal it if you don't want to).

A: No, and I'm not planning on it either. I have the utmost respect for cops (my brother is one), and I know that when a cop tells you to do something, you do it.

2. Do you plan on dressing up for Halloween this year? And if yes, what?

A: DUH! Of course!!! I can't really divulge every detail of my costume, as I am guessing this is a PG-rated forum. So, to keep it clean, I'll just say that I am dressing up as F*cko the Clown.

3. If you could be any animal what would you be and why?

A: A maggot

4. What would you be willing to do for a million dollars?

A: Pretty much anything that won't put me in jail.

5. If you could ask one question to a current person in politics, who would it be and what would you ask?

A: I would ask Ted Strickland, who is very pro-gun (he was given an A+ rating by the NRA...very rare for a Democrat) why he chose that anti-gun idiot Lee Fisher as his running mate???? Way to lose votes, Ted!!!!

Here's a good question: have you ever been in a fist fight? (I assume you've already asked all the real obvious questions, so I tried to think of something no one else has come up with yet).

1 - I think I wanted to be a photojournalist for National Geographic.

2 - A lawyer and then a mom.

3 - That just because two people are each good people, it doesn't mean that they are necessarily good when they're together (hmmm).

4 - I don't think too many kids will be coming to our apartment - but we got a bag of assorted chocolate just in case.

5 - Summer - gymnastics, swimming, or women's soccer.

1. A Corellian Cruiser pilot. I'd make that Kessel Run faster than ANYBODY ever did before.

2. A meteorologist in Yuma, Arizona. Every day I'd just get on TV and say, "It's going to be hot, and it's not going to rain," and then I'm done working for the day. Either that, or a sniper.

3. That if you decapitated me and weighed my head, it would weigh approximately eight pounds.

4. Whatever I can steal from work.

5. I'd rather see the rumored reunion of David Lee Roth-era Van Halen next year! Or the rumored "Heaven and Hell" era Black Sabbath (i.e., Ronnie James Dio, not Ozzy Osbourne).
