Chicago Marathon 2006. My dad and I ran the first 14 miles together until we lost each other through a water stop. I set a 4 minute PR at this race, while my dad suffered a HUGE blister that hindered him from a good time.

This picture makes me jealous. Gloves and long sleeves! I ran Chicago the following year, temps in the 90s, dead runner and dead spectator, ambulance shortage, marathon cancelled. I hadn't been running marathons for long and I'd trained hard, so it felt extra-devastating. Like seeing your happy memory of the race!
