333. Yep, I might have the coolest number ever. 333. That's like triple lucky. :)
Upon hearing I had a number I broke down in tears. This has pretty much happened everyday, but this was the first time in public. I have been so emotional about this race and now that I have a number, it's really real.
I have been training for nine months. It's been a really long time; it's been a really short time. I have logged hundreds of hours and thousands of miles. Yet, the distance still scares me. I'm trying to keep it all in perspective. Since November I have...
- Swam 164,025 meters. That's equivalent to 102.5 miles, which is over 42 Ironman length swims.
- Biked 2,100.8 miles. That is nearly 19 Ironman length bike rides.
- Ran 501.38 miles. That is equivalent to 19 marathons.
The hard work is done. The taper is going so quickly. In 13 days I'll be on the starting line...

Impressive numbers...you are going to rock it!!
Funny about the 333, that is easy to remember! When I did IMoo last year, my number was 2117. My boyfriend's number: 217. Weeeird, but cool. Then, in the spring, my cousin built a house and her new address was 2117. Now that is just creepy.
333 has got to be the luckiest number out there!!! Awesome.
Oh my goodness... Meredith, I so remember being the same way with my first Ironman... and my second. I cried all the time. I pictured the finish line and cried. I thought about how long of a day it would be and cried. I thought about the joy and the pain and I cried. The morning of the race I sobbed like a baby. It's all nerves. BUT - with that first stroke in the water, you'll be amazing! And you won't cry again until the finish - but those will be happy tears for sure!
I am so jealous of the number! I was 4 people away from 300 and thought that would have been cool. It's the little things.
Enjoy the next 12 days and we'll be in touch!!!
Awesome! That is so cool. I know my race tomorrow isn't nearly as cool as an Ironman, but I can't tell you how jazzed I was that my number for tomorrow is 33, which is also my age. Too we aren't the same age.
