Thursday Thoughts

I meant to ask this question last week while I was actually on vacation, but didn't get around to it.

Dave and I have done a lot of traveling together. That's what you do when you don't have kids, right? We have been to beaches and cities and have even traveled abroad. What we have found is that we love to explore. If we're going to some place new we REALLY want to check it out. Our parents travel very differently than us. My parents are beach lovers and will go and sit on a beach. All. Day. Long. Dave's parents are retired and travel by cruise. All. The. Time.

So, where do you like going on vacation and what do you enjoy doing on your vacation?

And a little vacation picture...

My husband and I are definitely explorers...although it's rare that we get a weekend to ourselves now that we have kids! Enjoy this time together!

We are so not "sit on the beach and relax" kind of people. We like to go scuba-dive or trek or run or anuthing that is a bit energetic. For me the best destinations are in the Middle East and South-East Asia although I have grown to like America as well

J and I are a balanced blend of explorers and lounge lizards...although we're not beach people (I'm the palest chic I know). Last vacay was to Paris - perfect since we'd both been there and got the chance to see what we wanted AND spend a few hours in the mornings just drinking coffee at the cafe. :)
