That's my girl!

Hey check out the Muncie post below. The pictures are there now.

I come from a running family. My dad has run 19 marathons, my mom has done a marathon, my cousin is a marathoner, I've run four marathons, and now my husband is training for his first marathon. Now the Running Richardsons are continuing.

Dave and I were over at my parents' house for dinner on Friday and mom and dad were watching Shelby and Jared. Dad asked Shelby if she wanted to show Dave and I how fast she could run. Dave gave her an objective--to run around the far tree and back--and then we set up little races between Shelby and Jared, Shelby and Dad, Shelby and Dave. Shelby is so competitive. She would scrunch her eyebrows and get this really competitive fire in her eyes and she'd run as hard and as fast as she could. She would even throw out an arm to keep the other person from winning. After each race we would ask her if she wanted a drink, and she would say no, get that look in her eyes again and line up once more.

That's my girl!

Jared, on the other hand, would make it down to the tree, find some interesting bark, and stare at it for a few minutes. :)

No I think he would run down there with his head down and then look up and then try to figure out how a tree got there. Silly boy!
