Thursday Thoughts

Welcome to the most interactive fun you can have on the internet! Okay, maybe not the most fun, but still fun. First today, mad props to the husband for creating my new header. Secondly, let's get the fun rolling.

1. What is the saddest book you've ever read? Happiest?

2. What is your favorite book you've ever read?

3. Are you going (or have you gone) on vacation this summer and where are you going?

4. If you had a 4 day weekend this weekend, where would you go and/or what would you do?

5. What's the most embaressing thing that's ever happened to you?

1. Saddest book--Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Happiest/funniest book--The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club by Laurie Notaro.

2. I have really enjoyed the Harry Pottery series particularly book #6, but I'm also in love with all things Laurie Notaro. I just read I Love Everybody and Other Atrocious Lies and it was hilarious.

3. Dave and I are heading to sunny southern California in aobut 3 weeks.

4. If I had a four day weekend this weekend I would probably spend a lot of time sleeping and working on things around the house. We're painting...the house is a mess.

5. I've had a lot of embaressing things happen to me as I tend to put my foot in my mouth a lot. But, when I was at Ohio State I worked summer orientation for two summers, which included giving campus tours to the families. We had just left our starting point which was a walk down from Morrill Tower to the stadium and I tripped and fell on the sidewalk. Not so bad, except I was wearing a skirt. Thank god, I am not a thong wearer.

1. I can't think of a particularly sad book I've read. As for funniest, Jay Leno's Headlines books always made me laugh.

2. My favorite books are probably the Lord of the Rings series.

3. Hey, I'm going to SoCal too!

4. I'd get some woodworking done, and do some painting. And maybe get some ice cream!

5. One time in elementary school (or maybe kindergarten), I was playing hide and seek and decided someone was hiding in the bathroom. My school didn't have a lock on the bathroom, just a sign you hung on the outside of the door. I forgot to check that, and walked right in on a girl using the bathroom. The teacher made me apologize, but I was really just trying to find the people who were hiding!

2. LOTR and Chronicles of Narnia Series.

3. No "real" vacation this year - how sad.

4. I actually have a FIVE day weekend coming up next week! I will be riding my bike and running and lounging in the pool!

5. Falling over while clipped in at a really busy intersection...
