Monday - 20 miles. The first big one. You can read the details here.
Tuesday - off
Wednesday - 3 miles in the hood with the husband. It was painful and slow.
Thursday - off
Friday - Tempo run. 1 mile warm up, 6 miles at long tempo pace (7:33), 1 mile cool down. I totally nailed this run with my middle six miles at 7:31. This is a very comfortable pace for me once I get going.
Saturday - One mile race.
Sunday - I was supposed to run 13 miles today at an 8:04ish pace, but my legs are just trashed. I am really struggling to recover from these workouts. My shin has been hurting, my calves are hard as rocks, and overall I'm just feeling really fatigued. But, my years and years of running has taught me that missing one workout doesn't make or break your race. There will be more runs and I'll start again on Monday.
