To Blog or Not to Blog

This is my 123rd day in a row I've blogged and I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it and why I'm doing it in the first place? I don't want to blog about my running specifically because I pay someone to come up with my workouts and I'm not going to undermine her by posting them here. Plus posts that only talk about workouts are boring. But, I'm pretty boring. I spend most days at home doing nothing. And nothing is boring to blog about. I have really been struggling the last couple of weeks to come up with interesting blog posts and between next Monday when Boston is and next October, I have absolutely no races on my schedule.

So I guess I need to know, should I keep blogging every day? Leave me a note or become one of my followers on the side and let me know if you'd like to continue to see the daily blog updates.

its up to you, but i love your blog posts! even when they aren't about running, its nice to know how you are balancing your life with your running.

I certainly check your blog every day or two, but if you only posted every few days, I'd still be happy. Ultimately this is YOUR blog, and if it's started to become an obligation, well, then you have to question if you need more obligation in your life?

I may not always comment but I like your posts :) You can blog about hockey playoffs! Go Blue Jackets - beat Detroit!

Please continue. I lurk in Michigan and am always interested in what is going on in OHIO.

its quality over quantity that makes an enjoyable blog.

Wow! I've gotten some nasty comments from anonymous people that I haven't even posted here (and won't be posting--ah the joy of having your own blog). If you don't have anything nice to say, and cannot show face to do it, then move along. You're not welcomed here.

I enjoy your blog, but like Andrea said, if it's becoming a drain, just back off and post less frequently.

Don't think of the comment as mean - they may have just been letting you off the hook in terms of feeling obligated to write daily.

up to you of course! :) i enjoy reading your blog and try to comment as much as i can. your short-n-sweet posts are often refreshing. i know how you feel about being "too boring to write about", although you definitely don't seem boring to me!

Andrea, it wasn't a comment here she was talking about, it was a genuinely nasty one. Makes you wonder about some people. *shakes his head*

Mer, I always enjoy your blog even if I get to see most of it firsthand and because of that don't comment much. :)
