Thursday Thoughts

On Saturday I will be running a 5K.  There's a very good probability that I could do VERY well in this race.  Coach provided my race plan that says, "run like hell!"  That doesn't sound like fun?!

Needless to say, the 5K is NOT a race I enjoy.  It hurts, it's too fast, and I really suck at it.  The longer the distance, the better I do.

Today's question....

What is your least favorite race distance and what is your favorite race distance?

Hmm...that's a good question. I'd say my favorite distance to this point has been the half marathon. And my least favorite is probably the 20 miler - long enough to beat you up pretty good, but not the atmosphere of a marathon.

10K. It's just like the 5K in that you haul ass the whole race--but it's LONGER. That said, I also am not really a fan of the 5K. Give me a 10 miler, 15k or 1/2 mary and I am a happy girl. Good luck this weekend! Make it hurt! really suffer! :)

I'm with IronMatron. 10ks SUCK. I hate, hate, hate them. But whenever the race is a 5k/10k. I always sign up for the 10k, cause I feel like a pansy if I don't. Endurance running can be a sick, sick disease. :)

ugh i hate 5k's! but i can also agree w/ ironmatron and amy... 10k's suck too. 5k's are my worst, half's are my fav, so far.

I do best around 6-8 miles. I have a 9 mile course I love but, any course that has 11-15 miles (except some half course) I am not fans of...probably because they were full of hilss!

5K, because that's about all I can handle ;-)
